Eric Shoemaker

I have recently obtained my PhD from the of Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto, and will be a Hauser Global Fellow at New York University in the fall of 2024.

My interests are primarily in political philosophy, ethics, and philosophy of law. I am interested specifically in democratic theory, the use of democratic devices like participatory budgeting, referendums, citizen’s assemblies, and random selection in politics.
